Special Tests – a la carte

For various reasons, your regular Ophthalmologist or Optometrist may not have a particular type of testing available in their office – especially if you are wheelchair or gurney-bound, or if you have difficulty sitting upright with your chin in a machine. Copper Eye Surgery has invested in various testing modalities to overcome such problems and our private pay model allows us to offer a la carte pricing for patients who “just need a test”.

Please note that Copper Eye Surgery is a direct, private pay practice and does not request pre-authorization or bill your insurance for services. While some patients may request partial out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance carriers, Medicare and Medicaid plans will not reimburse such requests.

Your Eyes are Worth It

As a private pay practice, Copper Eye Surgery always presents you with copies of your complete records after every test.  You never have to ask.

Copper Eye Surgery does not bill insurance companies or contact them to request pre-authorization.  While some patients may find success submitting their own claims to private insurance carriers for out-of-network care reimbursement, Medicare will not accept these claims.
